Father Scott Francis Binet is a consecrated religious and family physician. He is Founder and President of the Missionaries of Mercy, a nascent ecclesial family of the Catholic Church. Fr. Binet received his medical degree at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences, and completed a residency in Family Practice at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Yonkers, NY. In 2003, he professed solemn religious vows in the Ministers of the Infirm (Camillians). From 2004-2011, Fr. Binet was Founder and International Coordinator of the Camillian Task Force, a disaster relief organization. He has done missionary work in Indonesia, Haiti and Sudan. He is past president of the Miami Guild of the Catholic Medical Association, the Region V Co-Director, and recently graduated with distinction from the National Catholic Certification Program in Healthcare Ethics of the National Catholic Bioethics Center.
